So grateful for all the guests who came together at the Sweat for Smiles “Om My Skin!” Beach Yoga Party, in support of Sun Smart Athletes, and made possible by GRACEDBYGRIT. It was inspiring to be surrounded by such positive, fitness-minded people. Everyone was thrilled to practice beach yoga on the water and in such a gorgeous, sunny Santa Monica environment.
Linda Baffa, taught a 45 minute Hatha practice, with flow elements, inspiring us all to embrace the elements of the day: Sun, Sand, Ocean, and Full Moon. It was a bit challenging for beginners, but it offered modifications and options for all levels. Linda and I wore the Show Em Up Cami and Chelsea Leggings by GRACEDBYGRIT. We loved the SPF 50 luxurious material which moved with us through every yoga pose!

Shannon Algeo closed Linda Baffa’s invigorating “Om My Skin!” Beach Yoga Workout with a mindfulness meditation session which included grounded centering and breathing exercises. He led us through inhaling for a count of 4, and exhaling for a count of 4. It was harder than I expected but it was so calming, and allowed me to focus on the present.
Shannon’s meditation session helped us tune into our bodies as well as the beautiful surrounding environment. It was the perfect way to end such a positive event all-around and it left us with a relaxed, happy glow and ready to mingle, indulge in the healthy Fit Bites, and enjoy the sunny, summer day.
