“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of their strength, but by the strength of their heart.” ~ Hercules
SO GRATEFUL for all the amazing men and women who got their sweat on at the Sweat for Smiles HIIT For Heroes this past Monday night, in support of The Heroes Project. Over 30 Sweat for Smilers came to this fabulous fitness event at Equinox Sports Club NY for Tabata by Tracy Gordon, an incredibly inspirational speech by GM of Equinox and amputee veteran – Charlie Linville, healthy bites by Owyn Bars, bubbly courtesy of BABE Wine, mingling with other fitness enthusiasts, favors, raffle prizes, and more. Just in case you missed the party, here are some party highlights.
The Heroes Project
100% of the donations from HIIT For Heroes went to support The Heroes Project, an incredible charity which empowers amputee veterans to climb the highest peaks.
Charlie Linville, GM of Equinox and amputee veteran (below), talked to attendees about his experience fighting for our freedom as well as The Heroes Project. We cannot think of a better way to celebrate Veterans Day.

Tabata by Tracy Gordon
Guests got their sweat on with Tracy Gordon in Tabata, a type of High Intensity Interval Training. This intense workout allows minimal recovery time in-between the different exercises throughout the class, helping to build strength and cardio.
Bubbly Courtesy of BABE Wine and Health-Ade Kombucha
After the workout, guests indulged in bubbly courtesy of BABE Pinot Grigio with Bubbles, BABE Rose with Bubbles and Health-Ade Kombucha.
Healthy Bites: Owyn Bars
Guests energized with OWYN Bars, post-workout. OWYN stands for Only What You Need. Delish!
Favors and Raffle
Attendees were thanked for their donation with Favor Bags filled with goodies from Fresh plus a raffle ticket to win prizes courtesy of Saje Natural Wellness, Outlette NYC, Mrs New Jersey’s Eye for Style, and Equinox.
A huge thank you to all of our attendees and party partners for making HIIT For Heroes a success. For more information or to donate to The Heroes Project, please visit theheroesproject.org.
