Sweat for Smiles “HIIT It For Kids” Guests were thrilled to take Bobby Gallant‘s “Abs & Ass” Class at Barry’s Bootcamp UWS (Brownstone), in benefit of No Kid Hungry. This High Intensive Interval Training (HIIT) workout combines treadmill and training exercises to giving you an awesome and energizing strength-training and cardio workout.
In case you missed the party, Bobby has shared 3 exercises from his Abs & Ass class. Integrate these moves into your workout for an extra challenge! Also, be sure to check out his class at Barry’s!
Sumo Squats
Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart, toes pointing to the sides. Squat until thighs are almost parallel to the floor keeping heels lifted and weight on the balls of your feet. This exercise can be done with or without weight! To add a challenge, pulse at the bottom.
Kickback
Start on all fours, knees under hips and shoulders over wrists. Keeping your back flat, extend right leg straight out (squeeze your glute). Then bring right knee in, hovering just over the ground. This exercise can be performed bodyweight or with a resistance band for advanced!
Lever Crunch
Start laying on your back, with legs and arms fully extended. Raise your right foot up as you crunch and reach diagonally with your left hand meeting in the middle. Repeat using left foot and right hand! This movement is great for core strength & abs!
