The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is “dedicated to ending breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. This year, BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer research—and metastatic breast cancer research—worldwide and is the highest-rated breast cancer research organization in the country.”
BCRF directs as much grants funding as possible to innovative research. They identify and evaluate cutting-edge research to donations will have the largest impact. All donation big and small go to fund breast cancer research and awareness programs. Thank you for your support of BCRF.org

Cohost Ashley Slaughter: Ashley is the founder of Sweat for Smiles, an organization which hosts fitness events for charity. Sweat for Smiles strives to give back while connecting the fitness-minded over health and wellness trends. Ashley developed her love for fitness as a former Division 1 competitive swimmer at USC. She has her MBA from USC and is a mother of two, living in New York City.
Cohost & Panelist Morgan Newman: Morgan Newman is a Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and the driving force behind the Newman Group – a mother-daughter financial advising team. Her passion for finance originates with her study experience abroad, in the rural area of Amacambini in South Africa. After studying grassroots economic development, Morgan became an advocate for impact investing, translating her studies into everyday life. After a few years of working for USAID contractors in Washington DC, Morgan followed her passion to New York City and joined her mother’s practice in 2012. Since then, Morgan’s goal has been to revolutionize the way financial advising is perceived by the Millennial generation.
Morgan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with minors in Mathematics and International Politics from BucknellUniversity in Lewisburg, PA and her Certificate of Financial Planning from NYU. She has the Certified Financial Planner designation, is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economic Honor Society and is Series 7, 66, and Life and Health Insurance licensed. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and young son.
Moderator, Penny Goffman: Penny is an Entrepreneur, Stylist, Writer, Mama & Connector! In her current role as Head of Community at HeyMama, she supports & connects working moms juggling it all. She fosters member relationships around the country through events & curated connections that enable mamas to grow their networks & net worth. Penny has written & published several articles on motherhood & community including Bella magazine. Yoga heals. A car accident left me with 2 broken vertebrae, a straightened cervical spine, and multiple herniated discs. After years of dedicated core-centric yoga and no spinal surgeries, my cervical spine has regained the curve and all herniations are gone. A true believer in the powers of Yogic Healing, I want to share them with the world, and aim to in the therapeutic section of CrossFlow Yoga.
Panelist, Kia Lee: Kia Lee is a survivor of breast cancer and domestic violence, having recently overcome stage 3 breast cancer. She is the author of “Lighthouse: Surviving Narcissistic Abuse,” a book that details her experiences with narcissistic and domestic abuse. Kia is currently working on her second book, which delves into the themes of mindset, healing, and spirituality that shaped her cancer journey. A graduate of The New School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kia has made New York City her home for the past two decades. Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she possesses a unique ability to openly share her vulnerabilities and challenges. This openness has created a profound connection with her readers and fostered empathy and understanding. Her authentic voice and relatable writing style have resonated with a global audience, as she passionately shares her personal journey.
