“Move for Youth”

November 27, 2020 By Ashley Slaughter

Last friday, Sweat for Smiles teamed up with Ann Pennington’s Eye for Style for “Move for Youth” in support of the Sleep Out project for Covenant House New Jersey! From an incredible HIIT/The MVMNT workout by Siobhan Gallagher to, shopping for the cause, giveaways, to healthy sips and bites at the afterparty, guests had a blast. In case you missed it, here are the party details.

At arrival, guests were asked to check their temp and sign a waiver. They received two water bottles (which doubled really nicely as light weights for the workout) and custom hand sanitizer!

The Good Cause: Sleep Out for Covenant House

The Sleep Out project inspires us to Sleep Out in support of the homeless youth, so they don’t have to. When you Sleep Out, you’re raising funds and awareness of homeless youth and showing them that they have a future.

More From CovenantHouse.org: This year, 4.2 million kids will be homeless in America. Fight these numbers by joining or starting a Sleep Out today: you’ll raise lifesaving funds to give kids safe shelter and opportunity, and unite your community against youth homelessness.

The Workout: HIIT/The MVMT by Siobhan Gallagher (@siobhangal.fit)

Siobhan Gallagher really got us all moving in her HIIT/The MVMNT workout at the Move for Youth event, in support of Covenant House NJ. Guests used their two water bottles as light weights! Take a look for a peek at the awesome workout.

Working Out in Style

Ann, Siobhan, and I were thrilled to be wearing sets courtesy of Ultracor. The material of our leggings and tops is a thick, luxurious fabric that really seems to flatter everyone. I loved the pattern and silver style accents too. We all felt so cute and confident throughout the event!

The After Party: Healthy Sips and Bites

Post-workout, guests enjoyed socially-distanced mingling with healthy sips and bites courtesy of Stylish Spoon, Splendid Spoon, Lola Snacks, and Petal Sparkling Water.

Guests were thanked for their support and generosity with favors and giveaways from local vendors.
